Admissions Process

We are thrilled to welcome you to Irvine Hebrew Day School! Please follow the application steps as outlined here, and if you have any questions along the way please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Early applications are encouraged to ensure space availability.

Pre-Admissions

  1. Schedule a school tour with our principal, Hadar Dohn. You will have the opportunity to meet the administration and teachers, and see the classes in action. We are also happy to connect you with other parents to ask about their experiences.

  2. Fill out the admissions application here

  3. Submit a $175 non-refundable application fee when you submit your application

  4. After your tour and application submission, we will reach out to schedule a Shadow Day for students entering kindergarten and up. For transitional kindergarten (TK) students, a one-on-one visit will be arranged. 

  5. Should you require financial assistance, our Financial Aid process is handled by FACTS and can be started here.

  6. Send the private and confidential online link for the Teacher Recommendation Form to your child’s current teacher. The form should be submitted by the teacher as soon as possible (generally within two weeks of completing the application)

  7. Sign and return the Authorization to Release Confidential Information Form so that we may contact your child’s school and speak to the teacher, director, and/or staff. The form will also allow us to receive other enrollment documents. Our Principal, Hadar Dohn, will arrange a time to speak to your child’s teachers and/or staff. 

  8. We will review report cards, teacher recommendation forms, and other pertinent documents and communications for all students as part of our assessment process.
