Andie Auchmoody, General Educator, 2nd Grade
Andie grew up in Irvine, went to Venado Middle School, University High School, and graduated from UCI with a degree in social science. After college, Andie taught art throughout LA and OC with “Meet the Masters,” a program designed to explore and educate about master artists such as Monet, Van Gogh, and Picasso. During this time, Andie discovered her passion as a classroom teacher and went on to teach elementary school in both public and private school settings. Andie also brings over ten years of experience as a certified Positive Discipline educator.
Andie currently lives in Mission Viejo but enjoys traveling to new places, meeting the locals, and discovering hidden gems on her adventures. She loves music, the outdoors, gardening and animals (she has had dogs, birds, lizards, fish, rabbits, mice, hamsters, guinea pigs, goats, and Luke the Wonder Horse!). She has two grown children (Kate and Ian) and a daughter (Grace) who attends high school. After meeting her, you won’t be surprised to learn that her favorite color is sunshine yellow!
Morah Andie is looking forward to having an incredible year of joyful learning with her incoming second grade students.
